Ribosomes are organelles found in most eukaryotic cells and also in prokaryotic cells, where proteins are formed through the process of translation.
Ribosomes are either found freely floating in the cytoplasm or found attached on the rough endoplasmic reticulum.
Process of translation occurs after transcription during the expression of gene, where a messenger RNA which is the product of transcription moves to the cytoplasm with the information or codes of amino acids. Then during translation the information on mRNA is interpreted into amino acids which are assembled to form proteins.
