Respuesta :
The proximate causes of behavior are interactions with the environment, but behavior is ultimately shaped by evolution.
According to Evolution, patterns of behavior through natural selection is evolved in a similar process as the physical characteristics are evolved.
Natural Selection helps in adapting behaviors which increases through reproduction and passed from one generation to another.
How Human Behavior is linked with Evolution?
According to Evolutionary Psychologists, behavior has tend to change according to the situation and challenges which are being posed on the individuals.
The innate behavioral tendencies tempered by input from our culture, family, and individual factors and the principle of evolutionary psychology is that the underlying neural mechanisms are shaped by evolutionary forces.
Five Principles of Evolutionary Psychology are:
1. The brain is a physical system instructing how to behave in a manner appropriate and adaptive to the environment.
2. The neural circuitry of the brain helps in solving problems in an appropriate manner. The specific ways that the neural circuitry is constructed were directed by natural selection from one generation to another.
3. Most of the psychological behaviors are determined subconsciously by neural circuitry which are largely unaware of these subconscious processes.
4. Neural circuits in the brain are specialized to solve different adaptive problems.
5. The mind should be based on adaptive changes that originated in the Pleistocene era.
Evolutionary psychology assumes that human behavior is being shaped, indeed determined, by processes of natural selection.
Those modes of behavior that favors the replication of the genome will preferentially survive.
