-Mendel discovered that true breeding of Tall plants (T for dominant) are crossed with true bred short plants (t for recessive).The next generation of plants are known as F1 and are tall plants (T)

-he showed that self-pollinated first generation (F1) plants produce an F2 generation with 75% of tall plants (T) and 25% short (t)
