Cotard Syndrome, also called Ambulant Corpse Syndrome or Denial Delirium, is a rare psychological disorder in which a person believes they are dead or that their organs are rotting.

The causes of Cotard Syndrome are associated with changes in certain brain areas related to personality, brain atrophy, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, migraine or cases of prolonged depression.

Although this syndrome has no cure, treatment should be done to lessen psychological changes. Thus, treatment should be individualized and indicated by the psychiatrist.
