Three is about as complicated as they get. Multiply the top equation by 2 or 2(4x - 3y = 5) = 8x - 6y = 10 Multiply the bottom equation by 3 or 3(3x + 2y = - 9) = 9x + 6y = - 27
8x - 6y = 10 9x + 6y = - 27 Now add these two 17x = - 17 Divide both sides by 17 x = - 1 You can solve for y 8(-1) - 6y = 10 -8 - 6y = 10 Add 9 to both sides. -6y = 18 y = - 3
