Although the monsoons may bring severe storm ,they are considered necessary in India . Why?

India would be very dry without the monsoons, as very little rain falls on it in the time outside of the monsoon season. So, without the monsoon, the ground would be too dry and vegetation would be more scarce, and possibly farming would be impossible.
