shorts is masculine so verte or vertes isn't correct.
The adjectives of color agree in gender and number if they don't come from a noun as turquoise, orange, marron ....(except a few as rose, violet, fauve,châtain, écarlate)
It's quite complicated when you come to composed colors as bleu-clair and so on even for French people !!!
