I think you meant chromosome aberration. In that case, it is when a chromosome is “abnormal,” such as having a “wrong” structure or missing a chromosome. There are four types of mutations: deletion, duplication, inversion, and translocation. The fifth is deficiency, when a chromosome is lost during the development stage of a fetus.
