Read the excerpt from “Lost.” She was examining her wounds when the sound came: the plunk of a raindrop overhead. Kim couldn’t stand it anymore. “This is ridiculous!” she yelled. “I can’t believe you got us lost out here!” “Like it’s all my fault?” Latoya snapped. She pointed down at Kim’s high-top sneakers. “If you’d worn sensible boots we wouldn’t have fallen behind in the first place.” Which types of conflict are present in this excerpt? Respuesta :

Character vs. self I think, but it could be character vs. others.

character vs. others AND character vs. nature

The character vs. others conflict takes place when Kim and Latoya argue about who is at fault for being lost. In a character vs. others conflict, the character is against another character.

The character vs. nature conflict takes place when the rain starts to drive them crazy. When the rain begins, Kim "couldn't stand it anymore." The rain furthers their conflict with being out in nature. In a character vs. nature conflict a character has problems with a force of nature like rain, wind, snow, temperature, etc.

Character vs. law happens when a character goes against the laws of society such as walking around outside without clothes on. This is against society laws because society says that it's inappropriate.

Character vs. self is an internal conflict. This is usually shown through a difficult decision the narrator must make.
