Which aspect of a word expresses an idea, image, or feeling that is different from the word’s actual meaning? etymology pronunciation denotation connotation

Respuesta :

Connotation by definition is an idea/feeling that a word expresses in addition to or different from its primary meaning.

For example, when you think of the word childish, it probably has a negative connotation. Being called childish is often received badly, for it can be akin to being called immature.
