An informative essay is a type of academic writing assignment aimed at providing information of a given topic. It structure should include a proper introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion.
The body paragraphs should, at the same time, include a clear topic sentence, examples, evidence or details that support that main idea and a concluding sentence that ties the evidence provided with the main point. All body paragraphs should also be coherent and cohesive, and should include the proper linking words so that the ideas flow easily.
