The researchers surveyed more than 72,000 people measuring their personality,income levels,and career-related data.The five-factor model doesn't just help people better understand how they compare to others and put names to their characteristics.It is also used to explore relationships between personality and many other indicators of life. Personality traits reflect the characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of people.Personality traits imply consistency and stability. Someone who scores high on a specific trait like Extraversion is expected to be sociable in different situations and over time.Openness is how open, imaginative,creative,and insightful a person is or can be.Open-minded people tend to prefer variety, seek new experiences,and are curious and perceptive of their surroundings.Less open-minded people tend to avoid change,dislike disruption,and focus on a few specific interests.
