In a parallelogram, opposite angles are equal, so, lets draw a picture of our parallelogram:

since interior angles of a parallelogram add up to 360 degrees, we can write

[tex]70+70+x+x=360[/tex]

By combining similar terms, we get

[tex]140+2x=360[/tex]

so, by moving 140 to the right hand side, we have

[tex]\begin{gathered} 2x=360-140 \\ 2x=220 \end{gathered}[/tex]

and x is given by

[tex]\begin{gathered} x=\frac{220}{2} \\ x=110 \end{gathered}[/tex]

therefore, the answer is 110 degrees
