Ecosystem is defined as the area that permits the interaction between organisms and their immediate environment for survival.

The negative feedback loop is a type of self-regulating system in an ecosystem which is used to either enhance a stimulus or inhibit an action.

Examples of mechanisms that makes use of the negative feedback loop are:

  • Blood pressure regulation

  • Temperature regulation

  • Osmoregulation
