The goal of negotiation is to reach a mutually acceptable agreement that will be upheld by all parties. Negotiation is an interactive process involving two or more negotiators or parties looking to establish common ground on matters of mutual interest.

Many individuals fear negotiation, despite the fact that they engage in it frequently, sometimes even daily. In both our personal and professional lives, the majority of us have to engage in joint decision or formal negotiations. Examples include arguing over the price of a new automobile, reviewing the details of a job offer with a recruiter, and negotiating a contract with a supplier.
