Allama Iqbal the great poet have defined the Patriotism as an Islamic trait, He said that in Islam Patriotism is given a great position.

What is Islam?

Islam is the religion of Muslims, the followers of Islam have trust in one God also called Allah, Muslims follow the teachings of Quran (the divine book) and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) known as the Sunnah.

Allama Iqbal have quoted that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked Muslims to love their country. In Islam after religion country is given the second priority and that is what the great poet of the Sub continent Allama Iqbal have quoted.

He wanted Muslims to have a state of their own where they can pray freely, and practice other Islamic norms. He was born in 1877 and died in 1938 in the meanwhile he was a great poet and influencer.
