Abiotic factors are non-living chemical and physical parts of the environment that affect living organisms in a ecosystem. Biotic factors on the other hand are living organisms in a ecosystem.
Abiotic factors may determine which species of organisms will survive or be well suited in an environment. Examples of abiotic factors include; climate, soil, temperature, water , etc.
