Write a paragraph every day this week. In your daily paragraph, briefly
describe a conversation in which you actually kept your own thoughts quiet
while you listened to another person. Describe the conversation and how
you validated the other person. Tell what you learned from this
conversation. You may have learned something about the other person,
about an issue, or about yourself. Send all five paragraphs, each about a
separate conversation, to your teacher with your other work for this lesson.

I was talking with a friend today about whether or not online school was better than real life school. They thought online was better, while I thought the opposite. At first I was confused, and then they explained how online was better because they can stay at home rather than having to wake up early to walk to school. They also told me that the work felt easier online, because they can take breaks in between work.

My sister was arguing with me about whether hotdogs are sandwiches or not (shes 9 so this was very important in her opinion). I believe that it isnt, while she thought it was. She started talking about how the bread goes over the hotdog, just like a sandwich. She then decided that because some people put stuff inside the hotdog like chili, that it was the same as a ham sandwich. I still dont agree with her.

My friend and I talked about whether or not being inside all day was fun or not. He said it was, and that it was fun being able to be by himself all day. He also said that he was able to talk to people online, if he got lonely. I didnt argue with him, because he had a valid point. I personally like being outside, even just by myself. He also said that hes able to do what he wants to do without being judged by friends or random people, which was what made me agree with him.

Me and my older sibling were talking about anime, and which was the best and what was the worst.we argued for awhile, but then they cut me off, and told me that “Naruto is the worst out of the ones ive watched, because of all the filler”. And that “The promised neverland and demon slayer are their favorites”.

Me and my friend were talking about iphones and androids. He was saying that iphones are better, even if androids battery lasts longer. They believe that iphones just look better, and are better set up vs. androids. I didnt argue much with him, but i disagreed, because iphones are very expensive and sort of overrated. He then went on talking about how the camera quality is better, and how they run smoother. I still think android are better, even if they are a bit “ugly”.
