The surface area of a cylinder is:
SA = 2πr² + 2πrh
r = 1 in
h = 4 in
π = 3.14

SA = 2 * 3.14 * 1² + 2 * 3.14 * 1 * 4
      = 6.28 + 25.12
      = 31.4 in²
