please can someone tell me how to divide integers with different signs and add integers with different signs PLEASE HELP THIS IS KILLING ME

Respuesta :

an integer is a negative number, if you have -3+6 you will subtract because when the numbers have different signs subtract and keep the sign of the greatest number. in this case the answer will be positive 3 because 6 is greater than three and it is positive.

Now for subtraction you may have -2-5 you will add because both numbers have the same sign which is negative. the answer will be negative 7. because when the numbers have the same sign, add and keep the same sign.

When you are multiplying:

Positive×Negative= Negative.
Positive×Positive=Positive.

when dividing:

The answer will always be positive if both integers have the same signs.

Positive÷Positive=Positive
Negative÷Negative=Positive.

Negative÷Positive=Negative.

i hope it helps.
