Ok as a person who's met some of the most amazing people that I know on the internet and they were once strangers, I'd say just stay safe and aware of who you're talking to. Parents tell us these things to keep us safe but that  doesn't meen that every stranger is a threat or a bad person.

what parents mean is don’t talk to strangers that is overage like 4 or 5 years older than u. n they don’t want u to talk to online ppl (if they’re ur age n they want to ft n stuff) but u can still make friends jus be careful on who n where they live
