A semicircular flower bed has a diameter of 3 metres.
What is the area of the flower bed?

Answer 1

pi x r^2 = area of a circle

3/2 = 1.5

pi x 1.5^2
2.25 x pi

I don't have a calculator on me so just do this and you'll get the answer:

(2.25 x pi) divided by 2
