They estimate that each of the 200 guests will eat 1.5 cups of tomato sauce. If the cooks already made 6 gallons of tomato sauce yesterday, how many gallons do they have to make today? Hint: There are 16 cups in 1 gallon.
What I did to figure this out is I multiplied 200 x 1.5 to figure how many cups there is total. Then I converted the cups to gallons and subtracted 6. I got 12.75 gallons of tomato sauce.
