Question 5
Find x. if x and 9x are supplementry angles .
Answer :
Note : in supplementry angles either one of two angles whichboth add up to 180 degrees
Given -
Equation formed -
[tex]x + 9x = 180 {}^{ \circ} [/tex]
Solving Equation:
[tex] \implies \: \: x + 9x = 180 {}^{ \circ} \\ \\ \implies \: \: 10x = 180 {}^{ \circ} \\ \\ \implies \: \: x = \frac{180}{10} \\ \\ \boxed{ x \: = 18 {}^{ \circ}}[/tex]
[tex] 9x = 9 \times 18 \\ \\ \boxed{ \: 9x = 162 {}^{ \circ} }[/tex]
Question 6
Find x . If x and 2x is complementary angles .
Answer :
Note : In case of conolementry angles , sum of two angles results in 90 °
Given -
They are complementary angle .
Equation formed -
[tex]x + 2x = 90 {}^{ \circ} \\ \\ 3x \: = \: 90 {}^{ \circ} \\ \\ x = \frac{90}{3} \\ \\ \ \boxed{ x \: = \: 30 {}^{ \circ}} \\ \\ 2x = 2 \times 30 \\ \\ \boxed{2x = 60 {}^{ \circ} }[/tex]
