Dry climate are usually found in North America, Australia, much of Asia, etc. Dry climates do not have sufficient precipitation, the deserts are located in arid climate and the semiarid climate is in a grassland, or steppe, region.

There are two types of dry climate. They are:
- Arid: it is the climate which have excess of evaporation. It included deserts.
- Semiarid: this type of climate support short vegetation and are usually dominated by either grasses or shrubs.
Thus, it can be concluded that the dry climates do not have sufficient precipitation, deserts are located in the arid climate and semiarid climate is in a grassland, or steppe, region.
