A crude oil is a mixture of different hydrocarbons found in it. It is also commonly known as petroleum. It is made by compressing and heating organic matter for a long time period. The four main kinds of hydrocarbons located in crude oil are paraffins, naphthenes, aromatics and asphaltics.
