The mass of water required to fill the flask is 33.17 g
Why?
To find the mass of water required to fill the flask we have to apply the weight by difference method.
It consists in determining the difference between the filled flask and the dry one. The difference is going to be the mass of water that was inside the flask, knowing that the total weight is the sum of the mass of the water and the dry flask.
Knowing that we can use the following equation:
[tex]massH_2O=Total Mass-MassDryBeaker=78.648g-45.48g=33.17g[/tex]
