It will also reinforce patient's rights. It promotes zero tolerance policy of inappropriate access. Employees should only access patient's information for job-related reasons.
Breach Protocol
Violations will result, but not limited, to the following:
1. Written Warning
2. Final Written Warning or Discharge
3. No Merit Increase
4. No Eligibility for Service Excellence or Recognition
Civil and criminal penalties may also apply depending on the gravity of the situation. This will be enforced by the Office of Civil Rights.
