Source means how a substance is released in the atmosphere. Earth's sulfur is mainly stored under the bottom of rocks and also as sulfate salts deep inside oceans. Major sources of sulfur are oceans, pyrite, and gypsum evaporated from seawater.
Also, airborne sea spray and marine coastal organisms are major sources of sulfur in the environment. Sulfur cycle is the system of process by which the sulfur would travel between several rocks, seas and living organisms.
