One theme of this Native American tale is that you can remain friends even when many things change. Which BEST describes a change for Heron and hummingbirds?

Answer:

I would say it would be C because since Heron still fishes he would be in the water area while Hummingbird would live in the wooded forest with flowers. That's their change since in the end, it said they moved away from each other. I hope this helps! And I really liked the story :D.

Answer and explanation:

At the end of the original story, both characters (Hernon and Hummingbirds) distanced from one another. Hernon gets all the fishes he wants near a watery area, meanwhile Hummingbirds lived among sweet flowers. This would represent a change in their friendship and daily meetings.

In this story we have two good friends, even though they have their differences (that didn't stop them to build a friendship). Then there's a passage in which a race develops between both characters. During said race, Hernon focuses way too much into it to the point of forgetting of everything else, but doing that didn't helped him at all. In fact, it did the exact opposite.

This story try to tell us that, being over competitive and having an excessive amount of confidence (nearly disgusting) is something that can bring us doom.
