The Constitution requires that Members of the House be at least 25 years old, have been a U.S. citizen for at least seven years, and live in the state they represent (though not necessarily the same district).
The rules and regulations written in the constitution (the supreme authority) are required for smooth running of the country. Article I, section 2 of the U.S constitution sets the prerequisites of the representative of the house. The three prerequisite to serve in the house of representative (lower house) are as follows;
1. The age of the person should be 25 years old.
2. The person should be a citizen of United States at least for seven years.
3. The person should be live in the state he/she represent.
