Asteroid belt is the circumstellar disc in our solar system. It consist of  numerous irregular bodies called minor planets or asteroids. Ceres is largest asteroid in the belt followed by Vesta, Pallas and Hygiea which together  constitutes half of the mass of the belt. It is formed from the primordial solar nebula as a group of planetesimals. Ceres is the only belt's dwarf planet.
