Not enough protection is given to victims of human rights. There are some laws as well as people who would protect victims but sadly they should do more to help these people. A good example was in Rwanda during the 1990s where many Tutsis were massacred despite U.N. efforts to protect them.
In my opinion, victims of human rights abuses are not protected. A number of victims are afraid to report the abuse, and what's more, these victims and their families are threatened in order to prevent them from reporting abuses.
Human rights constitute "the basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled." Human rights abuses are overseen by United Nations committees, national institutions and governments and by many independent non-governmental organizations, such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, World Organisation Against Torture, Freedom House, so on.
