Clouds form from "adiabatic" temperature change, which occurs when an expanding gas cools. Adiabatic is when heat enters the system but doesn't leave the system like it gets trapped. Clouds also can form from the water cycle when the water evaporates from lakes, rivers, or oceans and rises to the sky to form clouds.
