So I'm trying to write out a couple of German sentences but I'm having a hard time doing so? I want to write out in German:

" I must do my homework " and "I must be home by 7" but for the first sentence I don't know how to say "do my" but I know "Ich muss and Hausaufgaben" and for the second sentence I know "Ich muss and 7 Uhr" but not "be home". Please explain!

(I wont take any answers that use an online translator)

1. You don't translate 'do my' because 'my' modifies a noun; you should look for the translation of 'my homework.' That would be 'meine Hausaufgaben'.

The object 'meine Hausaufgaben' is placed between the modal verb muss and the main verb, which is machen: do homework is 'Hausaufgaben machen' in German.

And so the first sentence is this:

Ich muss meine Hausaufgaben machen. - I must do my homework.

2. 'be home' is 'zu Hause sein' or 'zuhause sein'.

'at 7 o'clock' is 'um 7 Uhr'

'by 7 o'clock' is 'spätestens um 7 Uhr' (literally: at 7 at the latest)

And so the second sentence "I must be home by 7" is

Ich muss spätestens um sieben Uhr zu Hause sein.    or

Ich muss spätestens um sieben Uhr zuhause sein.
