You are a nurse in a hospital. You are told to move a patient through three corridors each measuring 14.33 meters. Because of friction it requires a constant force of 848 N to move the patient and wheelchair. How much work must you perform to accomplish this task?

Respuesta :

Work done by force is given by formula

[tex]W = F.d[/tex]

now here work done against friction is given so force of friction here is

[tex]F_f = 848 N[/tex]

It moved by three corridors with each measures

[tex]d = 14.33 m[/tex]

so total distance will be

[tex]s = 14.33 \times 3 = 43 m[/tex]

now from above formula of work done we will say

[tex]W = 848 \times 43[/tex]

[tex]W = 36464 J[/tex]

so above is the work done to move three corridors
