Answer-

The probability that a randomly selected candle is orange scented is 0.25

Solution-

The total number of candles produced by the company = 8000

They produce equal quantities of cherry, lemon, orange and strawberry

So, number of each candles produced in a day is,

[tex]=\dfrac{\text{Total candles produced}}{4}[/tex]

[tex]=\dfrac{8000}{4}\\\\=2000[/tex]

As the candles are evenly mixed, so

[tex]P{(\text{orange candle})}=\dfrac{\text{number of orange candle}}{\text{total number of candle}}\\\\=\dfrac{2000}{8000}\\\\=\dfrac{1}{4}=0.25=25\%[/tex]

Therefore, the probability that a randomly selected candle is orange scented is 0.25
