The neuromuscular synapse is a chemical synapse between a motoneuron and a muscle cell (muscle fiber). The neuromuscular synapses consist of:
• the pre-synaptic cell-motoneuron that sends signal by releasing the the neurotransmitter from the synaptic vesicles
• synaptic cleft, place where neurotransmitter is released, between motoneuron and muscle fuber
• post-synaptic cell also called endplate -the muscle cell that receives the signal via receptors.
