The laissez-faire arised in the Age of Enlightenment, proposing an economic system that is free from the restrictions and general involvement of the government in the market.
Of course, many capitalist parties strongly support this model. Their political platforms would most certainly express the need to limit state intervention to managing law-enforcement, the military and the justice system. The basis of these platforms are rooted in the idea that an individual is in charge of his own life and is responsible for his own actions. It aims to guarantee individual's liberties and encourage them to freely pursue any private endeavor as long as it doesn't compromise other people's rights.
