Given equation : [tex]tan ^-1 (\frac{8.5}{7.7})=x[/tex]
We know the formula,
[tex]tan \theta=\frac{a}{b}[/tex] can be written as
[tex]\theta=tan^{-1}(\frac{a}{b})[/tex]
In the given problem angle theta is taken by x and fraction a/b is taken by 8.5/7.7.
In order to find the value of tan^-1(8.5/7.7), we need to put arc tan or tan^-1(8.5/7.7) in calculator.
By default, calculator would give angle in radians.
Also if you want answer in degrees, please do not forget to change the radian key(button) into degrees.
On putting tan^-1(8.5/7.7) in calculator, we get 0.834741.. radian approximately.
And in degrees it would be 47.827 degrees approximately.
