Toranas are the walls that surround the great stupa that can be seen in India. Stupa symbolizes the "sakyamuni" which means "death and attainment of nirvana."  These Toranas are free-standing arched or ornamental gateway for ceremonial purposes that can be seen in the Buddhist, Jain, and Hindu. These usually have two pillars which carry 2-3 transverse beams.
