Eric is riding his bike. The number of turns his Wheels make varies directly with the distance he travels. See the graph the below.
How far does Eric travel per revolution?
What is the slope of the graph?

Respuesta :

step 1
find the slope m
we know that
slope m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

let
A (0,0)  and B(10, 2)
m=(10-0)/(2-0)-----> m=10/2------> m=5

step 2
slope m=5
that  means
5 revolutions/ft
so
5 revolutions-----------> 1 ft
1 revolution-------------> x
x=1/5-----> x=0.20 ft

the answer part a)
Erick travel per revolution 0.20 ft

the answer part b)
the slope m is 5
