Chemiluminescence is an example of an emission of light due to a chemical reaction. In this reaction, two compounds are joined and their reaction produces a compound that is in a state where its electrons are excited. As the electrons go back to their ground states, they release energy in the form of light. This result to chemiluminescence.
The Cause: Two compounds are joined and enter into a reaction
The Effect: The product of the reaction is a compound with excited electrons that release heat in the form of light thus the Chemiluminescence.
