Sole proprietorships are the most basic form of business where there is only one owner. When the sole proprietor dies, say, for example, Ken who owns Living Earth Garden, the business technically dies or automatically cease to exist. There are options after death, however, if Ken has authorized a representative to care for the business upon his death, the operation may continue.
