Masjid al-Haram ("The Sacred Mosque"), is a large mosque in the city of Mecca, and the largest in Islam. It surrounds the Kaaba, the place which all Muslims turn towards each day in prayer, considered by Muslims to be the holiest place on Earth.

The most sacred & holiest shrine is Islam is the Ka'bah, located near the centre of Majid Al-Haram in Makkah.

Muslims orient themselves toward the Ka'bah during the five daily prayers, bury their dead facing its meridian, and cherish the ambition of visiting it on pilgrimage, or hajj, in accord with the command set out in the Qur'an.

hope this helps! :)
