I am starting with the Soviet Union/Russian Revolution. This didn't cause WWI, but it was important. World War 1 placed all of the blame on Germany and the Treaty of Versailles was  signed forcing Germany to pay for all of the reconstruction costs. Hitler rose to power in Germany and managed to have the German people believe that the Jews were responsible for making Germany pay for the reconstruction. This started WWII. After World War 2, the Soviet Union and the United States of America were involved in the Cold War. The Cold War led to the Korean War, the Vietnam War, as well as Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and Gulf War 2. After the Cold War, which we fought with Afghanistan, Osama Bin Laden used the weapons, training, and other materials we, the US, gave them to help fight the Communists. Later we were involved with them in the Global War Against Terrorism.
