we find the vertex at the point

when we have a quadratic. formula in the form
[tex]a {x}^{2} + bx + c[/tex]
so in our equation we have
[tex]2 {x}^{2} + 12x + 16[/tex]
so a is 2 b is 12 and c is 16 so the vertex is at
[tex] \frac{ - 12}{2(2)} = - 3[/tex]
this is the point (0,-3)
