In most climes, men are women are discriminated against on the basis of gender. The United Nations defines Gender Equality as the "equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities of women and men and girls and boys."

To curb the issue of gender inequality, physical and sexual violence against women must be addressed. People must also learn to use gender-inclusive language that is not discriminatory.

Gender equality means that despite the gender of boys and girls, no one is discriminated against or deprived of certain opportunities.

The usage of gender-inclusive language, elimination of violence against women, and the observance of days like International Women's Day will help to create awareness about gender inequality.
