1. Flatworms are dorsoventrally flattened animals with bilateral symmetry. They lack skeleton. Flatworms are able to sense and respond to stimuli such as respond to light, the eye-spots can detect light and allow the flatworms to respond to it, respond to chemical, pits on the side of their head regions that allow the flatworms to respond (like smelling) and respond to touch, the auricles on either side of the head region can sense touch and allow the flatworms to respond.
2. Neuron is the cell of a nervous system. Neurons receive information, integrate it, and pass it. Along with neurons, the nervous system contains other specialized cells called glial cells which provide structural and metabolic support.
