He showed his sensitive and human side by focusing his efforts on fighting this deadly virus.

While Reagan, had to wait for an uncontrolled rise in the number of people killed by contracting AIDS to make a speech where he saw little interest in wanting to help AIDS patients and make available resources to decrease in something the health crisis caused by this virus.
